School Overview

The Excel Center is an adult high school that offers a full high school curriculum to adults 18 and over, allowing students to earn a high school diploma. Students have access to academic and life coaching, child care, flexible scheduling, industry-recognized certifications and much more – all at no cost to them.

The Excel Center Model

Structures and Practices for Student Success

  • Flexible scheduling available to meet needs of working and busy adults;
  • No classes on Fridays, but all students can receive tutoring and coaching support;
  • 10-week terms are designed to accelerate credit attainment (4 terms per year);
  • Small class sizes with structured support;
  • Transportation assistance offered to eligible students and facility is metro accessible;
  • Kids Excel, a child drop-in center for children of parents attending The Excel Center;
  • Mature learning environment: Student population is a mix of younger and older students;
  • Career training classes in Hospitality, Security & Protective Services, Technology, and many more, all resulting in industry recognized credentials;
  • Support enrolling in college and new careers up to six months after graduation.
